Homemade Christmas

I have been having a lovely time!  Both out of town daughters have come to visit .. getting to know Téa has been a treat .. but now it is back to work. 

I haven't actually been lazing around for the past few weeks .. in fact .. it has been a very busy time.  Rob and I have been working on gifts for friends and family.  Here's our list:

Rob made tables and chairs for the grandbabies .. 1 set for Gray & Isabelle and 1 set for Esme & Téa.  They were a modified version Ana White's pattern.

For Gray & Isabelle

We made block sets for the 2 newest grand girls.

Each set has photos of their people from both sides of the family .. as well as alphabets, numbers & sayings.

We made 5 nativity sets for little ones to play with.  The idea came from Helping Little Hands  with pictures from Prepared Not Scared.

Simple but fun for the babies.

We made photo cubes for 7 people.

I sewed aprons for each of our girls.

The Wait is Over - Téa Marie is here

We went out with Alain & Kris for supper last night and shortly after we got home, Kris decided it was time to go to the hospital.  Things started to roll at 7:10 pm and by 10:50 pm Téa Marie was out in the world.  Alida, Alain's mother, picked me up on her way to the hospital.  We were going to sit and wait until the baby was born .. BUT .. Kristin made fast work of it and by the time we got to the hospital, Téa was ready to be checked out by Oma and Gramma.  She weighs 7lbs 6oz and is 20 inches tall.  Esme is fast asleep at our house, blissfully unaware that her world is totally changed.

I will add pictures once Kris and Alain have got the word out. :)

.. and so we wait.

Any day now our next grandbaby should be popping out to greet us.  It is an exciting time!

So it is 4:19 am .. I have discovered the joys of Pinterest .. I've been at it for over an hour.  Who knew?  All the goodies I love from the internet in one place.  This is very cool .. already I am an addict.
