We decided that we needed to visit our girls who live off in the boonies to see their homes done up for Christmas. There is just the small matter of the Selkirks and Rockies between us and them. Two weeks ago we headed out to Castlegar .. just a bit of scariness on the road on that one. Well worth it upon arrival.

On Thursday, we set off for Calgary. Our bosses gave us permission to head out early (Thanx Guys!!) and off we went. There was a bit of white knuckle driving but it was well worth it.

It is wonderful to be safe at home .. but it was well worth the trip over the mountains and back.

Also thankful that we don't have to cross any mountains when we make kringle with Kristin & Co.
