Mom's Quilt

I mentioned Mom's quilt in the previous post and thought it was worth showing.  Having a family of 11 meant that Mom did not have a whole lot of spare time to do the things she would have liked to do.  Once number 10 (me) and number 11 (brother Ben) left the house, Mom had some spare time on her hands. Because money was minimal in our home, of necessity, Mom had sewn much that was needed for the family .. the quilt above was made of the scraps of leftover during Mom's new spare time.
