A Reprieve

Well .. Rob was told to be prepared to leave on the 16th .. he was prepared .. but it didn't happen. His visa didn't come through as quickly as they had hoped. The visa has now materialized .. but .. other things didn't come together as planned .. so .. Rob is home until the 26th. This is a wonderful thing for us .. although .. I am not so sure Rob thinks so .. he took on the job of tiling our main bathroom and is possibly regretting the decision.

Aside from the bathroom job .. we are having time to think through this heading off to Pakistan. Sometimes it seems scary .. other times it seems like a wonderful plan. But whether it is scary or wonderful .. we do feel it is the next step forward in our lives.

The reprieve means Rob has time to spend with our girls (well .. not Mich .. but the other two since Mich is keeping busy in Calgary). It is easy to take family time for granted when people live nearby .. the coming distance helps one realize just exactly how blessed we are to have family.
