It Seemed Like Such A Good Idea At The Time

Perhaps you remember the sunny days of summer .. a time when we were foolish enough to want to escape the heat in the comfort of our own pool. Those days are gone .. it has now cooled off significantly .. the pool no longer comes in so very handy. It is dismantled .. it lies in pieces on the lawn trying to dry out so that we can fold it and put it away. The process would seem simple .. and yet is anything in life as simple as one would hope?

Last weekend we spent a couple of days cleaning out all of the fungus .. on Saturday Kris and I cleaned the inside .. and the cover .. then on Sunday Erin, Chris and I moved it to the lawn and worked on the outside. All seemed pretty darn tootin' simple .. we just had to wait for it to dry .. fold it and put it in the shed for a nice winter's sleeping.This was the plan .. then when it was dry .. I discovered that it was too heavy for me to fold on my own. The girls had commitments so we were going to fold it up yesterday. After a week of glorious weather .. what should happen but the most major rain in the world .. okay so it was just a short shower .. but it effectively put the plans back.So after getting as much water as possible off the thing yesterday .. we will see what the sun can do tomorrow. Here's hoping we can put the pool to rest in the very near future.
