Rob in Balakot
It was just over a year ago now that a major earthquake hit Northern Pakistan .. the epicentre being in Balakot .. a beautiful mountain town.
Many people there are still living without proper housing .. tarps making the roofs of their homes. With the approach of winter .. stable housing would make life more bearable.
SP hopes to start building houses in the next little while for some of the people whose living conditions are painfully inadequate.
Yesterday Rob went up to Balakot to see where they would be building. There is much rubble like this on which Rob is standing .. this is where the foundations will be laid. Once work has started .. we will let you see the new earthquake friendly homes they are working to provide.
