The Snow Continues

 Rob is out shovelling snow again .. much fell over night and is supposed to continue on until Friday night.  He has noticed the pile up on our gazebos so is working to get support poles in place before the snow destroys the roofs.  We don't usually have this much snow and while the grandkids are enjoying it .. the rest of us are not so much.  

The rise in Covid cases around us kept all students out of school this past week.  We have been blessed to have the grandbabies at our house while their parents still have their work to do.  On Monday night, Esme and Téa spent the night .. on Tuesday night, Taylor and Kenzie spent the night .. on Wednesday, Gray, Ellie and Drew spent the day and tonight, Ellie and Drew will be sleeping over.  I love that now being retired from my job, I am available for the grandkids. 

The grandkids are doing a 1000 hour outdoor challenge that has them outside for an hour each day at this time of year. The snow in our yard kept them entertained yesterday.  Since we don't have any toboggans or snow sliders, my pizza pans went out to be tried as snow saucers.  Let's just say they will never be the same again. Gray and Drew spent a good deal of time attempting to make a tunnel but as it is so cold, the snow is not the best for building.

I started the New Year right, getting rid of clutter.  A box of unused Christmas decorations has gone to the thrift store .. another of unused dishes is waiting to go.  Then it stalled with the grandkid busyness .. I believe that it will continue once the grandkids are back in school.  We have the POD (Pit of Despair) to declutter .. that is the crawl space beneath the house.  It has boxes in it that have not been opened in years! This is the year that they GO!
